ispace Technologies, US. is a looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior Thermal Engineer to join its new team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design spacecraft thermal control systems

• Develop thermal models and conduct analysis to inform component sizing, selection, and specification

• Support design work including trade studies, material, component, manufacturing process selection, and design validation

• Write and present technical reports

• Support the development of environmental test plans and help execute them to verify thermal system performance

• Maintain proactive coordination between teams to balance and achieve project goal

• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders and customers to ensure the thermal system meets the performance requirements

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with focus on systems and control. We will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

• 5+ years of experience in the design of aerospace applications

• Experience designing and/or analyzing thermal control systems for a spacecraft

• Proficient thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop preferred) and CAD (Solidworks preferred)

• Comfortable with change, fast-paced environment, and learning new things

• Team-centered mindset, with a focus on collaborating with and supporting those around you

• Effective communication skills to strengthen cross-functional interactions and team support

• Proactive attitude, team player, and strong sense of ownership for their scope

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with spacecraft thermal control systems
• Knowledge of mechanical design, material selection, and fabrication processes for spaceflight hardware or equivalent
• Experience with FEA (Simcenter preferred)
• Experience running and operating spacecraft environmental tests
• Experience working for Aerospace/Space Prime or sub-contractor strongly preferred
• Experience in startup environment a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment
• Schedule may vary depending on program development needs; flexibility required
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary based upon experience - $115,000-$135,000. The salary posted is a targeted range for budget of position. Base compensation can be negotiated and will be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
