Serviceman

Our Macraes Open Pit Maintenance Workshop is on the hunt for an experienced serviceman. This role works to safely and efficiently perform daily servicing (fueling and lubrication) and planned maintenance of all mining machinery and ancillary plant/equipment. At all times, a high degree of professionalism and quality workmanship will be required to ensure that cost effective maintenance and repairs are delivered.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Maintain high levels of housekeeping of all facilities, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Apply Contamination Control methodologies for all work undertaken.
• Record and report usage of all components, parts, and other resources on work-order job cards.
• Planned maintenance (servicing) of all mining, ancillary and support plant.
• Provide assistance to the fleet maintenance technicians and other workshop personnel.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review/revision of procedures when required.

Requirements

• Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
• National Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering - Plant and Equipment Level 3-4 or Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering.
• Previous experience in the servicing, repairs and maintenance of heavy machinery.
• Similar experience in an industry such as forestry, agriculture and road transport carrying out similar types of work will be considered.
• Previous experience with operating of heavy plant and equipment an advantage.
