We are looking for an Social Media Manager to directly support one of Canada’s top celebrity chefs and a favorite among many—from local Quebec to across the USA— Chef Laurent Dagenais!

Laurent Dagenais was born and raised in Montreal, a place where art and culture blend flawlessly with culinary experiences. Being in the scene from a very young age, it comes to no one’s surprise that he’s made a name for himself through his unique approach and creativity. Laurent has reached over 2 million followers across all channels in a short space of time and his audience love both his techniques and the food he makes. His main objective is to transmit his learnings and incentivize people to get into the kitchen more often. He is known for his fun and user-friendly recipes, and for making gourmet flavors and techniques accessible to the masses!

Additionally, this role involves crafting original captions and managing online communities. • Stay updated on emerging trends and share knowledge and insights across the team.

  • Manage Laurent’s social media accounts.

  • Correspondence and follow up with members across the organization to ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Produce a monthly social media report including metrics across all platforms.

  • Production food styling

  • Produce Growth Strategies for each social media channel

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Around 2 years of experience in a relevant field, whether freelancing or working within a small agency or in-house, showcasing a solid foundation in social media marketing and having managed social media channels for a brand and/or agency.

  • Exhibit excellent proficiency in the following areas: social media strategy, adept social community management, and online advertising in the realm of social media.

  • Showcase strong organizational abilities, digital acumen, and platform versatility. Should have a solid grasp of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

  • Proficiency with content calendar tools such as Planoly, Hootsuite, Later, and Buffer.

  • Fully proficient in English, both written and spoken. Bilingualism in French is a nice bonus but not mandatory.

  • Comprehensive and current understanding of social media and online trends for a North American audience.

  • Knowledge of Youtube SEO strategies

  • Self-motivated and autonomous team player with excellent time management skills.

Please note that this is a part-time contractor role, requiring approximately 10 hours per week. The candidate must be based in Montreal, as the position is primarily remote with occasional in-person attendance for special events. Compensation will be determined based on experience and the allocated budget. If you are interested in this opportunity, please ensure to include all relevant personal and professional work, such as your portfolio, website, and any other pertinent examples.

Thank you for your interest and the LD team is looking forward to meeting you!
