Job Summary

As a Field Manager in our Dayton Division, you will manage the construction and delivery of our new homes ensuring quality, timeliness, cost, and customer satisfaction. The Field Manager will serve as the primary contact for trade partners, customers, and internal associates for each home they are overseeing. The most rewarding part of this role is being able to look back on cul-de-sacs, streets, and ultimately neighborhoods and taking great pride in being the builder that created the community.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Quickly and proficiently use real data to evaluate a problem and solve it within the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Enjoy communicating daily with customers and trade partners to clarify questions and concerns that arise in a direct and factual style.
  • Approach your day in a systematic and orderly way.

These skills will be used to:

  • Supervise and lead trade partners and suppliers to ensure building standards are achieved.
  • Establish, deliver, and adhere to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct homeowner meetings, walk-throughs, and weekly updates with the customers.
  • Identify and document all recurring rework items and notifies appropriate departments to ensure elimination from future homes.
  • Ensure budget, schedule, and quality standards are met and surpassed on each home.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Prior experience in project management or residential construction.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through telecommunication, phone, and face-to-face contact.
  • Must be able to climb permanent, temporary, and ladders.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces through mud, ruts, etc.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods with low periods of reaching and standing.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to travel to job sites regularly throughout the day.
