POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the PPLM Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will support finance operations and handle general accounting projects, including month close entries and general ledger accounts reconciliations, with a heavy emphasis and focus on fundraising accounting and reporting and maintenance and reporting for government and other grants.

Responsibilities:

  • Support recording and review of complex accounting transactions
  • Analysis and reconciliations of key accounts
  • Work closely with the development department and key program managers to support grant management and reporting
  • Build and maintain fundraising and campaign reporting tools to support PPLM’s current major fundraising campaign
  • Assist with annual budget process and related financial analysis
  • Oversight and support of projects, audits, and periodic external filings
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations for annual financial audit
  • Prepares and review various journal entries and monthly close tasks to produce timely financial statement production
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Participation in PPLM’s efforts to achieve goals for productivity

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required and 6-10 years of experience in accounting
  • Strong knowledge & experience in General Ledger transaction posting
  • Experience with Accounting/ERP systems; Blackbaud FE and/or Workday is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience with documentation of internal controls and process improvement
  • Experience in campaign and grant accounting at a charitable non-profit preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of different races, ethnicities, sexual and gender identities and expressions, ages, abilities and experiences
  • Commitment to addressing the impact of racism and other oppressions on sexual health

Roles that are denoted as Hybrid require 1 day per week in the office unless the role is denoted as onsite, which requires working onsite full time or 5 days per week.
