Render's singular focus is best summarised by our purpose; continuously innovate and evolve technology to build networks better and connect communities. Render's geospatial network construction platform enables telecommunication network operators and construction teams to digitise the construction workflow and cut the time and cost of large-scale fibre deployment by over 20%.

Network infrastructure spend in the USA is forecast at more than $60B per annum over the next decade. So, the demand for technology-enabled efficiency and construction innovation is sizable and acute. Render's market-leading platform is experiencing rapid adoption. In partnership with majority partners IFM Investors, Render is perfectly positioned to build on existing momentum and realise significant growth.

Our entire team has a genuine passion for innovation and understands technology’s role in enabling communities to connect and thrive globally. Our shared values shape everything that we do at Render.

This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of data analytics technologies, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

The role you will play:

  • Lead data, analytics and AI strategy and platform efforts at Render

  • Use big data to answer complex business questions, but also to design semantic layers to best support production and self-service interfaces

  • Serve as technical leader for all analytics development projects, leading the planning, scoping, and implementation of full-stack data solutions in conjunction with product managers, UI/UX designers, and platform architects

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that business logic is properly represented in the semantic layer and production environments, where it can be used by product engineers to further evolve the Render product as well as professional services teams to deliver unique solutions to customers

  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues

This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of data analytics technologies, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Relevant experience in advanced analytics/analytics engineering
  • Experience building machine learning applications, using industry-standard technologies for production-focussed machine learning (Python, SQL, PyTorch/Tensorflow, Kubernetes/Docker, etc.)
  • Strong experience in building technical strategies and roadmaps for analytics platforms
  • Deep experience in SQL and advanced database design, with a strong understanding of optimisation and performance best practices
  • Experience in data-warehousing concepts such as star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, ELT/ETL, and MPP databases
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business intelligence (BI) technology such as Tableau, PowerBI, Sisense, etc.
  • Experience with big-data technologies e.g. Databricks, Spark, and Kafka
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience in building pipelines
  • Production experience with observability tooling, Datadog, New Relic or similar
  • Experience in managing development projects using agile practices

$150,000 - $180,000 a year

How To Apply

Please submit your CV, no need for a cover letter.

Once you’ve submitted your application, we will review it and get back to you as soon as we can to advise whether you have progressed to the next stage of the process or not (interviews, skills assessment, reference checks, and probity checks).
