About Agreena

Agreena is an exciting, dynamic and purpose-oriented organisation united in a mission to drive impact for farmers and the climate. While we’re rooted in agriculture, finance and technology, our team of experts range from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory affairs experts. More than 30 nationalities are gathered under the common Agreena flag – either working from our headquarters in Copenhagen, offices in London or remotely across Europe.

Agreena provides solutions that drive both environmental and financial sustainability. Within the last year alone, we have helped farmers across 18 countries in their conversion journey to regenerative farming practices. Our company offers a supportive and positive work environment with opportunities for learning, leading and growth no matter where you are in your professional journey. We believe in giving our employees a lot of responsibility, and we encourage new thinking, innovation and fun.

And this is where you come in

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role is a hybrid position, requiring a blend of project management skills and hands-on operations expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management, and support in the execution, of our data collection operations including managing over 100 part-time surveyors.

We expect you to have a background in operations and preferably have some experience managing external contractors or managing projects internally. An ideal candidate is highly organised while being able to manage multiple work streams and is comfortable working with many stakeholders from external contractors to internal technical teams.

You’ll be working with a driven team in a fast paced environment where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your planning, project management, and execution skills.

Your responsibilities:

  • Using your project management skills to ensure the successful completion of our data collection projects including the collection and validation of various agricultural samples and data from across Europe.
  • Tracking project progress and monitoring timelines as well as reporting to the wider company on project updates.
  • Managing a large number of part-time contractors and third-party logistics companies
  • Working together with our Data Science and Program Science teams to ensure we are collecting the most valuable and relevant data possible
  • Working with the other members of the operations team to optimise our data collection processes and create a cost-effective and scalable data collection system

Who we're looking for:

  • You have a strong understanding of operations and have experience managing projects with external or internal contractors
  • A couple of years experience in an operations based role, taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from start to finish.
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Project Management, Agri-Business or similar
  • You are proactive and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • You have excellent communications skills
  • You are highly proficient with Excel and Google Sheets documents as well as being tech-savvy when using new tools.

Bonus points if:

  • You have strong project management experience in combination with a operations background
  • You have experience in agriculture, sustainability, or carbon credit programs.
  • You can show examples of process improvement, automation, or creating scalable solutions to operational challenges
  • You have strong technical skills with automation such as advanced excel formulas, light coding ability, or experience integrating software with tools such as Zapier.
  • You have partnership management experience, working with external companies negotiating contracts and planning operations.

What's in it for you:

  • A unique opportunity to join and help shape a fast-growing tech scale up with the determination and ambitious mission to reverse climate change
  • A truly global environment where you can collaborate and socialise with diverse and passionate colleagues
  • Competitive compensation package and holidays
  • Centrally located modern office in Farringdon and the option to work from home a couple days a week
  • Team events throughout the year
  • An exciting purpose-led culture and mission
  • Open communication and supportive feedback culture
