Nuvei is seeking a dedicated and experienced Total Rewards Lead to join our dynamic and growing HR team. The Total Rewards Lead will be responsible for implementing and managing comprehensive total rewards programs, including compensation, global benefits, retirement programs, and M&A-related activities. This role is critical to attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in total rewards to contribute to the success of a fast-paced and innovative organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and Drive Total Rewards Strategy:

  • Global Total Rewards Strategy: Spearhead the development and execution of a holistic global total rewards strategy that encompasses compensation, benefits, retirement programs, and wellness initiatives. Align the strategy with Nuvei's business objectives, talent acquisition, retention, and engagement goals, fostering a high-performance culture that supports long-term organizational growth.
  • Executive Compensation Oversight: Lead the design and continuous refinement of executive compensation structures, including base salary, short- and long-term incentives, and equity-based compensation. Ensure alignment with competitive benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and Nuvei’s overall strategic goals.

2. Global Benefits and Retirement Program Management:

  • Global Benefits: Manage and implement global benefits strategy, including health and wellness, life insurance, and other employee benefits. Ensure these programs are competitive, compliant with local regulations, and tailored to the diverse needs of a global workforce.
  • Retirement Program Strategy: Manage global retirement and pension plans, ensuring they are aligned with market practices and meet the long-term financial wellness needs of employees across different regions.

3. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration:

  • Total Rewards Integration in M&A: Support the integration of total rewards programs during mergers and acquisitions, including harmonization of compensation structures, benefits programs, and retirement plans. Ensure seamless transitions and alignment with Nuvei’s overarching business objectives and corporate culture.

4. Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:

  • Global Market Benchmarking: Direct comprehensive market analysis and benchmarking initiatives to evaluate and enhance the competitiveness of Nuvei's total rewards practices on a global scale. Leverage deep market insights to recommend adjustments to salary structures, pay grades, benefits, retirement plans, and total rewards packages.
  • Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Utilize advanced data analytics and industry intelligence to advise senior leadership on emerging total rewards trends, ensuring that Nuvei remains a market leader in attracting and retaining top talent.

5. Total Rewards Program Management:

  • Oversight of Global Total Rewards Programs: Lead the global administration of Nuvei’s total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and retirement plans. Ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives across all regions and business units.
  • Total Rewards Framework Governance: Govern global salary structures, job leveling frameworks, benefits policies, and retirement plans to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness. Ensure consistent application across diverse geographies and business units.

6. Performance-Linked Compensation and Recognition:

  • Integration with Performance Management: Collaborate with HR and senior business leaders to integrate compensation and benefits strategies with performance management systems. Ensure that total rewards practices are directly linked to performance metrics, driving accountability and excellence across the organization.
  • Innovative Recognition Programs: Design and implement innovative recognition and incentive programs that promote employee engagement, reward top performers, and align with Nuvei's cultural and business values.

7. Compliance, Governance, and Risk Management:

  • Global Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all total rewards practices comply with global, regional, and local regulations, including pay equity laws, benefits regulations, and executive compensation disclosure requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal landscape to mitigate risks and ensure best practices.
  • Ethics and Governance: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and governance in total rewards practices, fostering transparency and trust throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CCP, GPHR, SHRM-SCP) is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive Experience: 7-10 years of experience in total rewards management, with a focus on global compensation strategy, benefits design, retirement program management, and M&A integration. Significant experience in executive compensation is essential.
  • Expert Analytical Skills: Strong expertise in total rewards data analysis, market trend interpretation, and the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and actionable plans.
  • Global Benchmarking Expertise: Extensive experience conducting global benchmarking studies and analyzing market data to inform compensation, benefits, and retirement program decisions.
  • Advanced Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in total rewards modeling, financial analysis tools, and advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) is highly desirable.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic Project Management: Strong strategic project management capabilities, with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong Business and Financial Acumen: Proven ability to understand and integrate business and financial principles into compensation strategies, with experience in aligning total rewards programs with organizational financial goals and driving business performance.
