Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing test plans and test cases based on specifications from the development team

• Working hand in hand with the development team to rectify issues, and retesting the product until it meets the quality standards

• Unit executing various types of testing such as system, regression, stress, load, and acceptance using a combination of automated and manual testing

• Identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects

• Ensuring that all testing procedures comply with company policies and regulatory standards

• Having algorithmic thinking and logical approach to understand the workflow in order to identify the areas of potential failure

• Collaborating with the development team to troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues

• Generating reports on test results and provide feedback to project teams

• Monitoring the performance of the system to ensure that it meets the user’s requirements

• Ensuring that the final product can be used in its operational environment effectively at various conditions

• Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems

• Updating test scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades in the system

• Maintaining and upgrading test environments as needed

• Automating detail-oriented and meticulous testing which covers corner cases

• Helping coordinate and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the product development lifecycle

• Understanding programming languages, database management, and system architectures to comprehend the technical aspects of the product

• Having ability to work under pressure and adhering to strict deadlines while maintaining the quality of work.

• Helping troubleshoot issues

Qualifications:

• Proven experience around 2 years as a Test Engineer or similar role
• Experience in project management and Quality Assurance methodology
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of SQL and integration testing tools (e.g. Postman, JMeter,Selenium)
• Creating synthetic data and masking existing data using Python
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
• Familiarity with project management tools like Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge on ETL processes, using .json formats, API integration / web service / remote function call
• Having Certified Test Engineer (CTE), certificate is a plus
• Java and C++ experience is also preferred
