MinIO is looking for a talented and experienced Value Engineer/Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving customer success by demonstrating the business value of MinIO's high-performance, scalable object storage solutions. You will work closely with sales, technical teams, and customers to align MinIO’s offerings with customer objectives, ensuring successful adoption and maximum return on investment.

The Lead Value Engineer must have extensive financial modeling (cost-benefit/ROI/TCO) experience and be able to articulate that through writing and presentations. This role will report to the Head of Sales & Partnerships with a dotted line to the CMO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to engage with customers early in the sales cycle, understanding their unique business needs and challenges.
  • Value Proposition Development: Craft and communicate compelling repeatable value propositions that align MinIO’s solutions with customer goals, focusing on ROI, TCO, and business impact.
  • Solution Mapping: Translate customer requirements into detailed solution proposals, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI models, and tailored business cases.
  • Post-Sales Support: Assist in ensuring that customers realize the expected value from their MinIO deployments, participating in customer success reviews and identifying opportunities for further expansion.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to effectively articulate the advantages of MinIO’s solutions.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain a repository of value engineering tools, methodologies, and customer success stories.
  • Content Creation: Draft compelling content that articulates the business value of MinIO’s solutions, including whitepapers, case studies, and presentations.

We would love to work with you if:

  • Experience: 5+ years in value engineering, solution consulting, or a related role within the technology sector, preferably with experience in storage solutions or cloud infrastructure.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.
    • Experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development.
    • Familiarity with cloud storage, object storage, and related technologies.
  • Attributes:
    • Customer-focused with a strong ability to build relationships.
    • Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable.
    • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
    • Willingness to travel as required for customer engagements.

Preferred: Experience with open-source software solutions & some familiarity with MinIO or similar products.
