Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Team within our athenaIT division in Bangalore. Your job will be to build Integrations and data pipelines for the data team and its stakeholders. Help us reach our goal of becoming the healthcare backbone by enhancing our cloud-based EHR solution and leveraging the wide network of providers that we serve today. Position Overview:

You are a developer who is a fast learner, well versed in programming languages like Python, and has good experience working as a backend data engineer (Good with writing Stored Procs) and professional with ETL tools like Informatica. You must be able to guide and mentor a set of junior developers to groom their capabilities. You will be partnering with Product and Business leadership on a day-to-day basis for requirements and prioritization. You are a tenacious, but nimble learner, who demonstrates design & engineering excellence.

The Team:

Enterprise Data team within AthenaIT where we help in Integrating data between different applications and load the data into the data lake. You also need to support the implementation of a next-gen billing platform that enables complex business models at scale and with financial integrity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Python as the primary programming language.

• Work with ETL tools like Informatica to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

• Implement, and maintain data solutions on AWS cloud

• Possesses strong knowledge of the latest advancements in AI capabilities and ML models.

• Integrate and process large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data quality, reliability, and integrity.

• Implement and enforce best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, data governance, and security measures.

• Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing your expertise to drive technical direction and decisions.

• Ensure continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices are applied for data engineering projects.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

• Engage in cross-functional teamwork, ensuring effective communication and cooperation with other departments.

• Own the lifecycle of an issue from start to finish, ensuring proactive communication with our customers and the backend engineering teams

• Proactively identify and proposes new, alternative technology to create scalable implementations and achieve results.

• Advise and train members of the team to maximize overall productivity and effectiveness of the team.

Typical Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in an engineering role (in the role of an ETL developer/Python Programming)
• Experience in an Agile environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer science or related fields
• Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience
• Experience working on tools like Informatica( ETL ) (IICS, Real-Time Integrations, Data Governance)
• Good experience with Python Programming
• Solid understanding of visualization platforms like powerBI will be beneficial.
• Responsible for coding, designing, deploying, and debugging development projects, typically on the server side (or back-end) using Python.
• Expert knowledge of Web Services/API (REST, SOAP) protocols
• Working knowledge of at least one RDBMS platform such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
• Exposure to SaaS applications such as Salesforce, Salesforce Wave, Salesforce Cloud Coach, Eloqua, Workday, Kenexa, Oracle Fusion Apps, Cornerstone, Service Now, and Jira
• Good backend development experience and ability to write Stored Procs.
• Good experience working on Linux/Windows Environment
