Health & Safety Engineer

AutoStore is seeking HSE engineer with OSHA experience

We are currently seeking a solution-oriented HSE engineer with OSHA experience for our Salem office. In this role you will work closely with RnD for development, sales department, support in client meetings, guidance on standards and regulations. We are seeking you that is solution oriented, passioned about occupational health and safety. The role would provide guidance on OSHA requirements and focus on the NAm market, with also potential for global support. This position will be part of the Product Safety department and report directly to the Director of Product Safety.

In this role you will have the opportunity to guide and further develop the AutoStore product and the future of the warehouse industry. We are seeking a person who is eager to learn, flexible and a skilled communicator.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure AutoStore complies with local regulations and specifications
• Contribute to prepare documentation and guidelines
• Support sales in client meetings, provide guidance on OSHA requirements, guidance on system safety questions with focus on work environment, ergonomics
• Collaborate and coordinate with R&D, Compliance, Product, Partners, Customers with the focus on HSE related questions
• Collaborate with the broader AutoStore organization
• Track HSE metrics and report to leadership on a regular basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Fire Protection, or other related disciplines
• 5+ years experience within HSE, risk assessment, worker safety
• Experience in consulting or insurance is an advantage
• Excellent technical understanding is a benefit
• Experience with OSHA requirements is a benefit
• Experience with National Recognized Test Laboratories, testing and approvals, certifications is a benefit
• Good experience with quality, regulations and approvals
• Good problem solving skills and collaboration across different departments and expert fields.
• Knowledge about warehouse automation industry is a benefit
• Experience with 8D reports, root cause analysis is a benefit
