Job Title: Product Developer I - UGG

Reports to: Director, Product Development – UGG & Koolaburra Footwear

Location: Goleta, CA – Office-Hybrid

The Role

The Product Developer I is an adaptable facilitator with an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a variety of people across the business. The Product Developer I will support all stages of product creation by driving the process from the design stage through to the timely approval of production confirmation samples. An excellent candidate for this role is detail oriented, responsive, and solution-driven with an ability to anticipate needs.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the product creation process from brief stage and design through final prototyping and samples. Execute development projects according to critical timelines and cost/margin targets.
  • Creation and maintenance of correct Bill of Materials (BOM) for all projects.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration with key stakeholders at all times to drive decision-making.
  • Problem solves last development, tech packages, CADs, and outsole tooling prior to hand-off for potential construction, material, fit & wear, or cost concerns.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of fit/wear tests and commercialization issues to ensure that product will be successful during commercialization and mass production.
  • Striving for continuous improvement in all areas of product creation
  • Manage confirmation sample process to ensure all ready to buy dates are achieved.

  • Detail oriented and perceptive with an ability to prioritize and adapt to change.
  • A clear and effective communicator.
  • A self-starter with a passion for creative problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a complex global organization satisfying the needs of diverse constituents with competing deadlines and priorities.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the footwear industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and FlexPLM or similar PLM system.
  • Experience creating product Specifications.
  • Understanding of material applications for product use.
  • General knowledge of product constructions.

$80,000 - $85,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
