Lumentum is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to work on the development of hardware for high volume production and also to be responsible for layout development, production jigs design and hardware testing.

In this role, the candidate will have an opportunity to work as part of a world-class engineering team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Bring new trends on hardware development to improve effectiveness
• Circuit design and simulation
• Hardware PCBA development
• Schematic and symbol creation
• Create and manage component library, footprints and 3D models
• BOMs and variants creation
• Power distribution network design
• PCB layout (placement, impedances, HDI stackup, length/mechanical matching)
• Generate manufacturing outputs (standalone and panel)
• PCBA development considering mechanics and heat dissipation constraints
• Electronics components analysis and procurement support
• Development of high speed PCBs (10/25/50 GHz lines and beyond)
• RF simulations
• Production jigs development
• Hardware testing and debug

Skill requirements:

• Bachelors/Master/PhD in electrical engineering or similar
• 5+ years of experience as hardware engineer
• Experience with hardware repository management/development tools
• PADS Design experience (preferred, but not required)
• Experience with PCBAs activation and debugging
