IT Quality Control Engineer

Your Assignment

As part of Basic-Fit's second line of defense, you are responsible for managing information security risks in the broadest sense of the word. Not only do you maintain and improve the IT General Controls framework by striving for effectiveness of our key controls, but you also contribute from a quality and security perspective to improving and securing existing IT processes and future initiatives.

In this position you will report to the IT Quality Officer, you will be part of the IT Office within IT and form the second line of defense together with the Data Protection Officer, Compliance Officer and the IT Security Officer

Your responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with the first line of defense to ensure timely execution of IT ICF key controls using ITSM and collaboration tools.
• Conduct control design workshops, assessments, and follow-ups to evaluate and improve processes and controls.
• Continuously enhance IT ICF operational effectiveness by translating incidents into improved controls.
• Monitor and follow up on audit findings with the business.
• Contribute to the risk management process for information security.
• Assess compliance with IT policies and propose necessary changes.
• Work with the business ICF officer to evaluate IT application controls.
• Provide expertise in IT security practices and quality management.
• Apply IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) to risk management and compliance.

We ask:

• Experience: 2-5+ years in IT audit, governance , risk & control or similar roles, preferably in regulated industries, with a strong background in IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in cybersecurity, business administration, IT, or related fields.
• Risk management: Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to IT processes and systems, and to recommend appropriate controls and mitigations.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include CISA, CISM, or similar.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in English (and preferably Dutch), experience in writing policies and procedures, and ability to drive change.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IT standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, ISAE3402, NIS2), IT (cloud) infrastructure , regulatory standards, IT security practices and IT audit tools.
• Expertise: Proven track record in maintaining ITGC frameworks, developing IT policies, preparing for audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
