Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

We are currently looking for a Strategic Sourcing Category Manager to be a part of developing our global procurement department.

About the role:

As a Sourcing Category Manager, you will be a member of the SEB Group Procurement, responsible for managing sourcing categories including strategic sourcing projects for indirect spend. In this role you will be handling indirect spend such as HR services, insurances, professional services and/or consultancy services. IT spend is excluded.

You will be accountable for driving category and sourcing strategies and execution of sourcing projects. This position will focus on achieving enterprise-wide goals, aligned with Group Business Services, Finance Stakeholders and Business Partners. You will be working intimately with colleagues and stakeholders from various SEB units and will collaborate across regions, functions and sites to harmonize requirements and solutions, achieve cost efficiency and savings on behalf of SEB.

The role also includes:

· Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for indirect spend, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and driving savings

· Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing projects, including RFx processes, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and documentation management

· Conduct research, analyze trends, and develop commercial models to optimize category performance.

· Collaborate with departments on supplier management, driving price reduction, vendor consolidation, and process improvements

· Ensure supplier selection aligns with category strategies and manage supplier performance for continuous improvement

· Promote procurement best practices and compliance, raising stakeholder awareness and reducing maverick spending

· Provide training and regular communication on procurement processes, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

· A master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or law

· Proven experience in procurement and sourcing projects

· Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to present insights professionally and translate strategic changes into actionable processes

· Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with fluency in English

· A self-motivated and structured approach, with experience collaborating across teams and functions to achieve business goals
