Data Scientist

Job Location: Helsinki, Finland

We don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with Cancer.

The Data Scientist will work in cooperation with the Elekta engineering team and product management to train and build production grade machine learning systems. They will also develop and maintain our data pipelines.

What you’ll do at Elekta

Would you like to be part of our driven global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best competences to Elekta? We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our engineering team at Helsinki (Finland), which is currently a team of seven team members.

In this exciting and diverse role, you will participate in Elekta machine learning and data engineering related R&D activities.

Responsibilities

• Developing Elekta’s machine learning capabilities

• Developing the data pipelines and databases for reporting and machine learning purposes

• Participating in data engineering and product development with the Engineering team.

What you bring

• Earlier experience in data science, especially in machine learning from concept to implementation.

• Experience with Python and libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn and Flask. Experience with Airflow is a plus, but not a requirement.

• Understanding of SQL-based databases

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field.

• Experience with modern software development tools and technologies

• Fluency in English written & verbal.
