The Supplier Development and Quality Engineer, located in Stockholm, Sweden, plays a crucial role in the procurement departments of the Brachy and Neuro Business Line. The main responsibility is to enhance the quality of the supplier base and ensure high-quality output by developing and promoting a zero-defect culture. To achieve this, you will work closely with suppliers to address quality issues through effective communication and problem-solving techniques. Additionally, you will implement effective containment measures and prevent the recurrence of quality problems.

What you’ll do at Elekta

The Supplier Development and Quality Engineer responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Work together with Elekta’s suppliers to develop and maintain a high level of quality in the supplier’s processes and products thus preventing quality issues

  • Perform supplier audits to ensure suppliers are compliant with, amongst other things; quality agreements and (ISO) certificates

  • Actively engage and participate in the Product Creation Process and Product Change and Maintenance Projects to ensure product quality in the supply base

  • Manage the non-conformance process in case non-conformances are related to suppliers

  • Use risk management to assess new and existing supply chain processes and implement mitigation action plans as required

  • Support the selection and implementation of new suppliers according to the sourcing process

  • Write and authorise quality documents and forms

  • Ensure supplier approval, supplier management and compliance documentation are maintained so Elekta is always audit-ready

  • Support in/lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA’s)

  • Perform First Article Inspections and PPAP’s

  • Ensure that the LGK Device History Record (DHR) is completed and all reported issues detected during an installation is accepted before CoC is issued

  • Manage the LGK DHR process and documentation to ensure regulatory requirements

What you bring

  • A strong background in engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality/development within a regulated industry is essential (5+ years of experience)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Experience in (supplier) auditing, preferably Lead Auditor certified
  • Knowledge of ISO13485, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO14971, QSR 21, CFR Part 820 is preferred
  • Fluent in both English and Swedish languages, both written and verbal
  • Continuous improvement and open mindset
  • Experience in root-cause analyses such as: 8D analysis, 5-Why’s and/or Fishbone
  • Ability to travel within work (about 10% travel)
