The Sourcing Analyst job supports business dealings with sourcing, procurement and vendor management. Working in the finance department as well as interacting with other business groups, this job works under direct supervision to assist in the analysis of data to support vendor costs, compliance, sourcing and procurement.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Handles administrative tasks relative to setting up new suppliers, including verifying that the supplier meets the company's standards, and tracking ongoing compliance requirement for licenses and approvals.
- Performs required recordkeeping, including maintaining approved vendor lists and researching and consolidating buyer/market profiles.
- Analyzes price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to help determine reasonable prices.
- Administers contracts in accordance with sourcing goals and acceptable service levels.
- Researches suppliers to ensure that the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply are met.
- Maintains effective relationships with suppliers and contractors in accordance with the ethical code and standards of conduct, maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Educational Requirements
