The Transport & Rail (T&R) Technology Analyst position facilitates organizational goals by leading projects, participating on cross-functional teams, and supporting daily operations. This role will focus on optimizing T&R operations by leveraging technology to improve work practices. The position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented employee with strong project management skills and experience leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency. The ideal applicant will demonstrate experience in problem solving and be a champion of change management.

This position will be located in either Findlay, Ohio or San Antonio, TX. Other MPC site locations may be considered for the right candidate.

This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide day-to-day system administration support for business unit-specific systems, including troubleshooting issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT by facilitating clear communication, bridging the gap between technology solutions and business requirements, and ensuring seamless coordination to achieve strategic objectives and issue resolutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Ensure business needs are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Use techniques such as process mapping, gap analysis, and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for automation or optimization within the organization.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Determine which solutions will provide the highest return on investment by evaluating their feasibility, cost, benefits, and risks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and propose effective and efficient solutions.
  • Oversee the successful execution of complex projects focused on improving business processes, implementing new functionality, and introducing technology solutions that provide significant value to the Company.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Provide input and conduct testing for developing and implementing new systems or process enhancements.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with internal Learning & Development and Knowledge Management teams to create technical material for end-users on new systems or process enhancements.
  • Ensure implemented solutions meet business requirements and quality standards and champion change management to impacted business partners.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for continual improvement and act as the organization's subject matter expert.
  • Promote best practices to clients and colleagues by advocating for proven methods and industry standards that optimize outcomes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the overall quality of work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, logistics, IT, or another relevant discipline required
  • 5 years or more of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, logistics, project management, or continuous improvement highly preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with SAFe Agile or technology deployment standards preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
