YOU

As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions that align with the organization's business needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and administrators, to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs. This role involves leading and guiding development teams, ensuring best practices, and staying abreast of Salesforce platform updates and industry trends.

A strong understanding of Apex, REST Web Services, LWC, JavaScript, SOQL, Aura, Visualforce, API, DevOp tools and who love to design and code in the Salesforce platform. This position reports to the Enterprise Cloud Applications Manager, IT

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements. Design and develop new features based on the business requirements in Salesforce CRM system for both Sales Cloud and Service Cloud based projects and Boomi platform-based Integration solutions. Work with other technical subject matter experts to develop strategy for sustainable and flexible data system to meet both immediate and long-term business needs. Develop technology specifications and ensure that new technology solutions are optimally designed. Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meets operational requirements - such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability. Ensure adoption of best practices and standards for development, support, quality control and documentation. (40%)

Provide technical guidance to coach and mentor domestic/offshore team members on Salesforce.com platform configuration, development, Boomi integration development, system design, performance tuning and troubleshooting. Ability to gain buy-in on proposed solutions. Assist in Service Management policy and processes to effectively support the production systems. Follow support processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management and Performance Management. Review the ongoing implementation solution for improvement opportunities. (30%)

Develop technical standards such as coding standard, best practice guidelines, solution diagrams, and documentation standards for Salesforce CRM system and Boomi Integration solutions. Ensure that standards are adhered to, and that documentation and change control processes are followed across the Applications Organization. (20%)

Work with partners and vendor organizations and provides oversight on technical deliverables. Ensure that we have consistency across all our processes and enhancement work. Ensure that work provided by partners meets Simpson’s internal standards, and is ultimately accountable for the solutions delivered. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related technical field is required or Master’s degree is required.
  • Proven experience in design, development, and implementation of Salesforce.com solutions spanning Sales, Marketing, Services and Customer Support preferred in Manufacturing domain.
  • 10+ years of software development experience in designing complex, enterprise-wide business solutions with prior core Java experience.
  • 7+ years of Salesforce Development experience on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Minimum 2+ year hands-on experience in designing and building 3rd party system integrations with Salesforce.
  • Experience working with Copado/Gearset/Git for Salesforce CI/CD as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Salesforce certified, ideally with either Application architect or System architect.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to work on-site at least 3 days a week.
  • Knowledge or certifications on Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ, LWCs, Integrations, Data Cloud, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of Salesforce.com and SAP integration.
  • Specific knowledge of Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud preferred with multi org environments.
  • Thorough understanding of Manufacturing data models, design considerations, and connected external systems.

Technical Expertise

  • Good knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Trigger, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, CSS, SOQL/SOSL, API, Force.com.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community, as the Force.com
  • Experience in enterprise-level Salesforce projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in Salesforce configuration, including flows, validation rules, and security controls.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools (ETL, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
  • Experience with single-org deployments and multi-org consolidations.
  • Solid understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies Manufacturing company experience
  • Domestic and international implementation experience.
  • Manufacturing company experience is plus.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certified.
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Certified
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Certified
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect Certified

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$122,700 - $208,600 / year
