Your role at Clorox:

The Plant Engineer role will support process improvement for the Amherst Operations Team. This role is part of a team that supports plant operations to efficiently prioritize Safety, Quality, and Production through implementation of Manufacturing Excellence with TRACC systems and processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Support project governance activities for loss elimination and continuous improvement by serving as a key part of the process, leading improvement projects, and coaching others
  • Support change management and Ops Readiness for the plant.
  • Learn processes, work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and develop best practices
  • Develop and execute processes to support plant operations, including: Project Governance, Daily Problem Solving (DPS), Short-Interval Control procedures, troubleshooting guide refinement and organization, Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL), Centerlines and QC auditing procedures and standards and Ops Readiness and Skill Block progression/development
  • Provide coaching and direction setting to respective teams for continuous improvement
  • Participate in site strategy and operations executional meetings
  • Attend and input into Plant Operations meetings as part of Leader Standard Work (LSW) on a defined cadence.
  • Develop expertise in using, training, and navigating within the TRACC platform.
  • Effectively communicate at all levels

What we look for:

  • 2+ years Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Data Management Experience (or like experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Related Field (Business, Engineering)
  • Microsoft Applications Proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality, ensuring continuous improvement across plant operations.
  • Lead and support process-related projects, including equipment upgrades, new technology implementation, and system improvements, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to identify process bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Stream, SharePoint Website Development, TRACC, LEDS and Power BI

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $69,600 - $127,400

–Zone B: $63,800 - $116,800

–Zone C: $58,000 - $106,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
