OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
Develop and execute the platform strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives
Manage assigned resources responsible for effectively maintaining, enhancing, configuring, implementing and testing platform and system functionality triggered by projects, change requests and future needs
Develop, configure and manage Finance platforms, solutions, applications, processes and systems within scope according to business requirements and increases the value of the application to the finance business community
Leading international project teams of experienced internal and external specialists or support projects as project team member
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize platform features and enhancements
Manage application and platform development process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing and deployment
Identifies and investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the implementation of improvements within area of responsibility. Advises stakeholders on improvements that increase value of applications.
Maintain a high level of up-to-date expertise in the area of Finance platforms and systems, including state-of-art approaches, methodologies and emerging technologies.
Ensure that application/platform meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders, and that it is scalable, reliable, and secure
Monitor application/platform performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in platform development and management
Provide support to ensure all operational and project based commitments are delivered
Provide support to ensure that the Finance systems are fully available to support Reporting, Planning and Analysis requirements
Provide support to ensure adequate IT support is available during Finance Business Processes (month, quarterly, yearend close, MYC, MRP) and IT issues are resolved in a timely manner
Collaborate and partner with various stakeholders (External service provider, DD&T, Business and other 3rd parties) to implement and deliver system improvements and opportunities
Provide hand-on solutions and advise to support the business needs
Ensure compliance with Takeda DD&T frameworks, policies and standards (like Project Governance, Architecture, QA, security, SDLC, SOX and service transition)
Maintain current knowledge and related tools
Acts as Technical expert on all assigned projects and systems.
Designs/builds/deploys complex data models.
Ensures execution and documentation to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), suggest adjustments to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and other standards, policies and procedures.
Work independently on tough problems with other team members and independently solve, with some guidance, very difficult technology problems.
Represent the team while working on project across BU and BNDC teams. Is internal and external expert to-go-to in how to drive advanced Computer Science and Engineering skills and techniques.
Influences and maintains relationships with partner organizations in support of data analysis, modelling and deployment

Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Deep insight in existing systems, technology and concepts in the area of Finance Systems Solutions (Minimum 5+ years of technical and administration experience)
Knowledge in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and Cognos Analytics software, application hosting and development
Experience in Tidal, Python, Planning Analytics Workspace
Experience in Cloud environments, especially AWS (S3, EC2, RDS)
Ability to write and speak in the English languages
Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with analytical and problem solving skills
Practice efficient time management and coordinates tasks, working in an international environment.
Understanding of how IT efforts are tied to achievement of business goals.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Experience in managing third-party vendors and partners
Experience in leading/working with multiple cross cultural and international teams across a matrixed organization to implement solutions.
Experience in state of the art procedures, tools and methods to realize IS/IT solutions
Extensive experience in designing and implementing IS/IT solutions
Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, their maturity and potential benefits for the organization
Experience in development of communication and presentation material to senior management
Experience in a pharmaceutical/life sciences environment
