Impact

As our Site Reliability Engineer in Birmingham, Minneapolis, or remote you will work with our metrics pipeline to help our developers gain insight into their microservices. Every day you will work with Prometheus, Golang, Terraform, and our observability tool to support our code base. You will work on a team of 4 engineers to develop, manage, and administrate real-time production monitoring, instrumentation, and telemetry.

**What You’ll Need to Be Successful

• 2+ years supporting highly scalable, distributed web services
• You have practical experience with a broad range of technologies including databases, version control systems, networking and cloud infrastructure.
• You are able to program in Golang or Python and have working experience with software development and reliability best practices.
• You understand agile methodologies
• You have an understanding of Kubernetes and microservices
• You have worked in a cloud environment using GCP or AWS

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City:

$74,732-$149,463

All other locations:

$62,186-$124,481

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
