Senior Systems Engineer HPC

At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Global IT Systems Engineering Team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Senior Systems Engineer (all genders) - High Performance Computing Systems (HPC)

Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the design, installation, configuration and operation of a high performance computing platform
• Actively driving the further development of the HPC environment
• Ensuring the availability and security of the systems
• Release and patch management of the Linux environment
• Design and further development of complex Linux environment
• Advising the internal departments on complex technical issues
• Implementation and support of requirements from the scientific environment

Your ideal qualifications:

• Holding an university degree in IT or an successfully completed apprenticeship in the same field
• Sound professional working experience in High Performance Computing Systems (HPC)
• Deep knowledge of Linux, enterprise
• Experience with automation based on Ansible or other Linux deployment tool
• Knowlegde and expierence with slurm scheduler
• Deep programming experience in Python, Bash
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning into public cloud
• Know How with VMware Vsphere, Harbor, Gitlab, MinIO, Rancher and Loki would be ideal
• Good communication skills and a passionate team-player
• Proficiency in oral and written English, German is desirable
