We’re looking for a People and Culture Manager to join our team in Spalding, UK.

Westfalia Fruit is seeking a passionate People & Culture Manager to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. As a key member of our HR team, you'll play a vital role in driving our people strategy and ensuring our employees are engaged and supported. You'll be responsible for a wide range of HR initiatives, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management.

This position will support both the corporate offices and factory/warehouse environment and will be responsible for ensuring that P&C policies and procedures are followed consistently across all business units in the UK. Occasional travel to our corporate offices in Kings Hill will be required.

Responsibilities include:

• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on all P&C related matters, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
• Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide P&C support to help achieve them.
• Be a first point of contact for all people leaders/employees on site to answer queries in relation to their employment in a competent, respectful, and confidential manner.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
• To coach managers with HR procedures and challenge any non-compliance.
• Conduct research and recommend best practices for performance enablement and employee development.
• Partner with hiring managers on the recruitment process, including writing job descriptions, and navigating our online hiring platform.
• Assist hiring managers with onboarding new colleagues and ensure a smooth transition into the company.
• Advise and support managers with grievances, disciplinary actions, absence management and performance management cases.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation and benefits matters.

Requirements

• Human Resources Management experience.
• Proficient knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience managing/supporting on successful HR projects delivering change.
• Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experience gained within FMCG/food production produce/manufacturing environment.
• Self-starter, effective communication and self-directed.
