Piping Engineer

The Piping Engineer will be based in Calgary and will be responsible for the design, and oversight of the installation and maintenance of piping systems. This role is based in the office, Monday to Friday, with trips to site as required.

The Piping Engineer’s responsibilities and duties are:

-Creating designs for the piping systems, including the layout plans, specifications, and isometric drawings.

-Ensuring compliance with applicable piping codes and standards.

-Working closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient project delivery.

-Inspecting and monitoring piping systems regularly for wear.

-Maintain documentation of modifications and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• P. Eng registered with APEGA
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience in Oil Sands operations is considered an asset
• Experience with PFD’s, PIDs, isometrics and piping layouts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of piping codes and standards.
• Proficient computer skills.
• 7+ years experience in a similar role.
