Senior Firmware Engineer

A company in the socio-health sector needs to hire a Senior Firmware Engineer with professional experience in developing embedded systems in RTOS environments. Must have professional experience in wearables and IoT in general.

✔️ You will be involved in firmware development for embedded systems, programming in C/C++ in real-time operating systems (RTOS) (preferably Zephyr). The devices are multi-network and multi-protocol.

✔️ Programming will be oriented towards the development of wireless networks as well as real-time biometric data processing. Experience in ultra-low power consumption programming is essential.

Experience in programming graphical interfaces for wearables (especially smartwatches) is a plus. Experience in supplier management (not only at the component level but also for OEM products) will be valued.

You will participate in the research and design of new monitoring technologies, as well as in the development and evaluation of prototypes.

What do we value?

• Education in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.

• Solid experience in C/C++ programming of microprocessors in RTOS environments (preferably Zephyr) for embedded systems.

• Solid experience in FW development for multi-network and multi-protocol devices. Wireless connectivity: cellular (4G/2G, data/voice), local mesh networks (Thread, Zigbee…), BT/BLE, GNSS, UWB.

• Development of OTA update systems.

• Local buses: SPI, I2C, UART, etc.

• Project management with international vendors: a high level of conversational English is required.

• Design oriented towards CE certification and marking (EMC, safety, RED, SAR).

📍 It will be a plus:

• Experience in programming graphical interfaces for wearables.

• Experience with UWB technology.

• Software version control, GIT, etc.

• MQTT protocol.

Conditions:

• Location: Boadilla del Monte (Madrid).

• Contract: Permanent. Full-time.

• Working hours: Full time (60% remote working option).
