Civil Engineer III

AECOM’s Water Business Line is actively seeking a Civil Engineer III for employment in the Coral Gables, Florida or Fort Lauderdale, Florida office. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal stormwater and water/wastewater projects
• Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.
• Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables
• Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.
• Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals.
• Experience in construction phase services.
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
