**Job Description Summary

The location of this role is flexible based upon the most qualified talent. Atlanta, Schenectady and Budapest preferred, EST/CST time zone remote or major GEV locations in Europe as alternatives.

The HQ DT Finance and transformation role involves partnering closely with BU FP&A & CIO teams and VHQ functions to manage total DT financials and transformation priorities aimed at reducing costs. Cost reduction is crucial for Vernova's profitability and is a key aspect of its equity story. The role also focuses on leading a multi-million dollar transformation effort that will shape the company's future in the coming years.

The DT Finance Analyst and Transformation role entails partnering closely with BU FP&A & DT CIOs and overseeing reporting of approximately $1B in DT costs across GE Vernova. It involves collaborating with DT CIOs & Product Leaders to assess business cases, support, and drive the execution of DT Transformation initiatives to reduce overall costs. The role will report into the Transformation & DT Finance Leader.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Transformation & Programs Analyst

  • Support DT CIO & Product leads to evaluate baseline and future savings estimates for individual projects.
  • Lead quantitative and qualitative analysis and delivery of critical strategic initiatives and business transformation priorities across and in collaboration with stakeholders across Vernova.
  • Execute financial modeling of potential transformation initiatives and explore alternative solutions with functional stakeholders.
  • Build and develop relationships with stakeholders across the VHQ and Tier 2 organizations to ensure a consistent approach to their respective areas that is embedded in the broader strategic vision.
  • Support tracking of savings and monitor the status vs. 2027 targets.
  • Identify and influence key senior stakeholders and representatives on cost-out programs and ensure the necessary checkpoints have been implemented.
  • Develop recommendations and articulate them to key stakeholders in a structured manner.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional work streams (SMO/PMO/TMO) within/across programs and with Senior Management.
  • Develop DT program process & program spend reporting capabilities.

Digital Technology Finance Partner

  • Consolidate Total DT Financials on both gross & net basis (adjusted for assessments & cross DT & functional charges) on a monthly basis, distinguishing between G&A and COS.
  • Develop strong operational partnerships within the DT function and with all businessesโ€™ FP&A teams and CIOs to achieve financial objectives for GE Vernova.
  • Lead Digital Technology Finance, supporting the GE Vernova DT team in navigating across multiple sources of cost information and business/GEV Corp teams. This includes working with existing GE & Vernova Business DT Finance teams to establish the new engagement model for GE Vernova.
  • Support and enhance visibility to cost drivers of HQ allocation to BU CIOs.
  • Support VHQ Finance team by providing visibility of drivers of cost across CTO, OFCIO & CISO areas, ensuring tier 2 CIOs understand their cost drivers.
  • Partner with VMR / Sourcing teams to understand contractual terms, in addition to the SMO team to understand potential SDA liabilities impacts.
  • Foster strong working professional relationships with:
    • Contributing organizations: Business FP&A organizations, DT HQ Finance Team, Vernova close and consolidation team, and Business ERP teams.
    • Critical stakeholders: DT Finance Leader, Vernova CIO, and BU CIOs.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA: This role requires significant experience in Finance & FP&A Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in the USA: Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in finance.

Desired Characteristics

  • OFLP, FMP, CAS, or other GE leadership program experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in GE Vernova, or Corp/Segment/headquarter FP&A roles preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis background with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Prior experience in DT and/or sourcing is a plus.
  • Impacts approaches, projects, and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of own team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues.
  • Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions.
  • Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global remote and cross-functional/cultural teams.

The base pay range for this position is $124,900 to $166,500.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidateโ€™s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus of 15%. This posting is expected to close on August 31st, 2024.
