Laravel is seeking an exceptional product leader with a technical background in software engineering to join our growing team. For this role we're only considering applicants based in the APAC timezone. As our next Technical Product Manager, you will shape the vision of the next generation of products built by our talented team based in the APAC region, and drive forward our mission to make web development enjoyable, creative, and efficient.

As Laravel continues to evolve and expand, we need a product leader who will work cross functionally to innovate and implement new products. Our team based in the APAC region is working on some of the most deeply technical and ambitious products we've built to date. The biggest one hasn't even been announced yet. This means that in order to succeed as a product manager for this team, you too must be technical enough to not only understand, but also work alongside the team to dream up new features as well as package them together as it makes sense for our customers.

Product Management at Laravel

  • Interface with company leadership and collaborate with engineering, UX, and GTM teams to manage the product roadmap including prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the development life cycle, including interfacing with key technical partners to discuss high-level integration.
  • Champion the voice of the Laravel customer. Lead user research and surface actionable data from a variety of internal and external data sources. Conduct user surveys and interviews to gain customer insights to inform decision making.
  • Scope projects based on business and technical requirements.
  • Monitor new product launches, continue to iterate to improve the developer experience and deliver customer value.
  • Design experiments and data collection methods to test and analyze hypotheses.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in product management, particularly complex web applications, technical products or enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working with a distributed cross functional team.
  • Embedded in or appreciation for the Laravel community, PHP web development, or other open source software development frameworks.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and concepts, PaaS, SaaS, and AWS.
