Summary of This Role

Responsible for the analyzing of system performance to ensure optimal processing efficiency. Works closely with IT Technical and Application Support teams in identifying and resolving processing issues. Develops and administers multiple software packages involved in the analyzing of system and batch performance. Performs problem determination, analysis and executes corrective action. Creates and maintains various analytical reports utilized by both technical and business owners. Supports all Business Continuity activities. Provides operational support for all conversion/deconversion activities. Communicates with both internal/external clients.

This is an in office position with the following schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday 6:45amCT - 7:15pmCT.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Administers and creates reports of business metrics and assists with taking appropriate tuning action across mainframe and distributed environments that determine processing performance for Senior and Executive Management. Develops and maintains predictive modeling tools to enhance performance related to scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of production files by proactively assessing processing performance and future client needs.
  • Assists with the development and administers automation tools, products, applications, and business processes to increase productivity, eliminate duplication, and coordinate information requirements so that jobs can be prioritized and resources maximized.
  • Assists with developing and provides training and communication to production teams and gathers data for trending, decisioning, and reporting to ensure smooth "go live" when new systems or processes are moved to production.
  • Identify Job Control Language (JCL) procedural tuning opportunities to improve run-time optimization to ensure jobs have access to adequate resources. Work with business/ application team to remedy issues. Develop and maintain analytical tools utilizing statistical data to identify opportunities for increased productivity and consistency across multiple environments.
  • Provide operational support for all Business Continuity activities and conversion/ de-conversion activities.
  • Maintain continuous line of communications, keeping Internal partners informed of all critical issues. Representing the company externally as necessary.
  • Acts as a mentor to entry level roles.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; Relevant Experience or Degree in: Information Technology or Business related study; relevant experience in lieu of education
  • Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp
  • Information Technology Field and/ or Bankcard Industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT or Business related study
  • Knowledge of Cisco Networking, Microsoft Server, Linux and AIX
  • 6 Years Relevant Exp
  • Operations experience with Service Manager, Jira, Logic Monitor, CA, BMC or IBM suite of products
  • Knowledge of ITIL

  • Mainframe/distributed experience - Ability to understand concepts of mainframe and/or distributed work and processes tied to them.
  • Application/Productivity software - Advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft suite, SQL, DB2 etc.
