Position Summary:

The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls for cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations. The Cloud Security Engineer will be part of a quickly growing organization embedding security into every layer of our cloud infrastructure.

MUST BE LOCAL TO TAMPA, FL.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure and applications.

• Work with application teams to create secure architecture designs and improve security posture.

• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations.

• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.

• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing.

• Monitor security logs and respond to security incidents.

• Continuously evaluate and improve security posture.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

• Extensive experience with cloud security for infrastructure and applications.

• Extensive experience with AWS/Azure security practices.

• Strong understanding of security concepts, including network security, identity and access management, application security, and data protection.

• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.

• Experience with security and compliance automation using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with security and risk assessment methodologies and tools (CSPM, CNAPP).

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent certification is a plus.

• AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification

• AWS Certified Solution Architect

• AWS and/or Azure certifications preferred.

• Highly self-motived, highly available, and driven to exceed colleague expectation

• Ability to think critically and logically under pressure

• Strong technical experience with proven history of troubleshooting complex, cross segment, cross office, and cross team problems

• Demonstrates the organization’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
