Vantage is committed to being a workplace of inclusion, equity, respect and acceptance. We celebrate diversity and intentionally seek out opportunities to learn from one another’s experience.

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world’s well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Construction Department

The Construction team is responsible for the entire process flow of delivering the physical data centers from shovel ready state through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Development & Engineering (D&E) team. The team also manages Vantage’s build partners to success through technical feedback and review, and actively participating in review of schedule and budget.

Many times, a role like this at other companies is purely oversight. One thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our construction teams are given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can ensure the key stakeholders are engaged in the decision-making process to align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results.

Position Overview

Vantage is looking for a detail-focused Construction Cost Analyst who loves numbers, muti-tasking, and doesn’t mind heavy data entry at times. This role will support various members of the Construction Cost Finance team with preparation of CAPEX project loan documentation, contractor documents, invoices and purchase orders. The Construction Cost Analyst role will assist the Cost Accountants to process pay application billings, budgets, insurance certificates, lien waivers and other related documents and will assist members of the Construction Cost Finance team with data analysis, accounting projects and other administrative tasks.

As a Construction Cost Finance Analyst within the Construction Cost Finance department, reporting to the Construction Cost Finance Manager, this role operates with a level of independence while working under general supervision. The Analyst engages in routine tasks that require training or experience, such as analyzing project cost data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate cost allocations. While facing difficult challenges, the problems encountered are typically not complex, allowing the Analyst to leverage their expertise in financial practices to address them effectively. Additionally, the role may involve influencing others within the department through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices, showcasing the Analyst's ability to collaborate and contribute to the overall success of the team. The Analyst exercises limited independent latitude or judgment in carrying out responsibilities related to cost management and financial analysis.
