Coordinator, Sourcing & Costing

Tarte Cosmetics is seeking a coordinator for the Sourcing & Costing team who possesses strong analytic thinking with a sharp eye for attention to detail. This is a multifaceted role responsible for working closely alongside various operational departments, ensuring cost targets are met for new launches, packaging changes, retailer sets and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze packaging and formula proposals to present various cost of goods scenarios
  • Maintain and update cost rollup sheets with accurate units, project info and cost options to present to management
  • Look at costing for sets or individual skus to be able to pitch to retailers based on multiple unit buys
  • Evaluate cost of goods seasonally, ensuring profitability targets are met across all brand collections
  • Develop negotiation and costing skills while achieving financial targets
  • Track and measure cost savings based on purchase variation
  • Track cost avoidance, currency fluctuations and their impact
  • Closely monitor category spend on an on-going basis
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency and cross-functional engagement
  • Communicate and cooperate with stakeholders to drive the overall strategy
  • Continuously analyze the supply market to identify new opportunities
  • Understand PLM process, workflow and future enhancements of databases to improve reporting
  • Upload costing data into relevant systems & manage/maintain coverall costing library

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sourcing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Finance preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience managing internal customer and external supplier relationships
  • Flexibility in approach between different stakeholder groups, peers, management and team
  • Work with large amounts of data in Excel, including advanced formula, pivot table functionality to create sourcing dashboards & charts
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working cross-functionally in development and implementation of sourcing strategies within a complex global organization
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders in the Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain departments
  • Self-starter
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute problem solving tactical issues
  • Able to adapt in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to look at big picture situations when analyzing requests from upper management
