Business Overview

The Institutional Distribution division of Fidelity Canada provides a comprehensive range of flexible, high-quality solutions for Canadian institutional plan sponsors and their plan members. Through our team of sales, relationship management and consultant relations professionals, Institutional Distribution offers solutions for corporate and public defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, endowments and foundations that cover all major and specialized asset classes.

The Institutional Service Analyst is primarily responsible for acting as point of contact for external inquiries and reporting requests in support of the Sales, Client Management and Consultant Relations teams. As a key member to the Transitions Team, you will ensure that daily tasks and complex issues are processed in a timely and accurate fashion while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

What You Will Do

Point of contact for existing clients for cash flow and trade requests. (cash and in kind)

  • Coordinate with clients, record-keepers, client managers, operations, Fidelity account executives, portfolio services, and portfolio managers to ensure timely notification and execution of client-initiated trades.
  • Review and enhance internal documentation used for cash flow requests and for the various applications used internally

Support the Institutional team with the below tasks:

  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting needs such as monthly statements, fund holdings and asset allocations, compliance certificates, and regular cash flow reporting
  • Annual reporting needs, by preparing capitalized distribution letters, supporting clients with audit requests etc. and responding to other external client requests
  • Support the institutional team with the investigation of any ad hoc requests: cash/position breaks, overdraft queries, proxy voting enquiries, FX queries and other general questions for separate accounts
  • Timely completion of divisional projects and support of the business initiatives
  • Use continuous improvement methodologies and takes initiative to improve and/or eliminate ineffective processes to gain efficiencies
  • Adhere to and display the corporate values of integrity, commitment, partnership, and balance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of a university degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in operations/client services/institutional roles within the financial services industry
  • Bilingual (verbal and written) in French preferred

This is a fixed term contract role ending in December 2024.

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.

Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
