The Graphic Designer contributes to the accomplishment of NATIVE HEALTH’s communications through practices, objectives, and operations to provide a professional and dynamic image that promotes NATIVE HEALTH’s mission and goals ensuring the internal and external visibility of NATIVE HEALTH.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the following communication areas:

  • This position’s primary role is to work with the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator in designing forms, promotional materials, print and digital, for internal and external use.
  • The Graphic Designer will write, edit, design and format all promotional materials and other documents for print and digital publishing, in accordance with NATIVE HEALTH’s formatting standards and agency branding.
  • Assist with creation of large projects/publications as needed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. This position’s primary role is to prepare NATIVE HEALTH forms and publications both print and online for release for internal and external use for internal and external printers.
  2. Maintain consistent NATIVE HEALTH brand, internally and externally.
  3. Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Associates Degree in graphic design, web design or related field, or equivalent experience to this position.
  2. Possess a strong working knowledge of Graphic Design software including, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.

Standard Employment Requirements

  1. Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.
  2. Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
  3. Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
  4. Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
  5. Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
  6. Must obtain a First Aid/CPR Card within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain a valid CPR Card during employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat).
  2. Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  3. Knowledge and experience of Graphic Design principles.
  4. Must be able to learn and use new digital software.
  5. Must be dependable, be able to prioritize tasks, and complete projects by deadlines.
  6. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  7. Visual problem solver.
  8. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision.
