The expected salary range for this position is $103,800.00 - $129,740.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview

As a Senior Payments Operation Analyst focused on incoming payment processing, you will lead and conduct multiple projects and initiatives that have widespread impact across Compassion. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets and providing insights to improve our operations focused on incoming payments. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process enhancements. You will help to translate our payments goals into functional specifications and KPIs that establish our payments' objectives and collaborate these with our roadmap. You will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Develop KPIs and reporting around key incoming payments metrics and objectives and work with internal teams to enhance current dashboards.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making for payment processing (recurring subscription models) and develop and maintain analytical models and tools to support business needs. Present findings and recommendations to Treasury leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead projects and initiatives ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity while maintaining data security and privacy.
  • Use knowledge of systems and payment industry requirements to develop or modify existing processes and strategies.
  • Coach, provide expertise and may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff focused on payment operations and incoming payments.
  • Provide guidance around incoming payment compliance which may include PCI, NACHA, Card Networks, Check, Govt regulations, FinCen, etc.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices related to incoming payment processing.
  • Monitor payment dashboards and other analytics to identify trends, discrepancies and areas for improvement or further analysis.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, IT, and supporter care to resolve payment related issues and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and payment partners to evaluate and implement system upgrades and new functionalities.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8-10 years’ professional experience relevant to the above job functions
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, Tableau)
  • An understanding of key incoming payment KPIs and metrics (Credit Card, ACH, Checks, Processing fees, payment methods, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience with recurring payment/subscription models
  • Familiarity with incoming payment compliance rules to provide insight and direction to internal teams (FinCEN, NACHA, PCI, Card Networks)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and prioritize key objectives
