Job Description

In this role, the EMPI Analyst will ensure the integrity of patient demographics through the remediation of multiple source databases and the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI).

Could this be you?

The EMPI Analyst will be responsible for mitigating potential account overlays and supporting the integrity of the source electronic medical record through the remediation of duplicate data. In this role, the analyst will demonstrate awareness to the key relationship between each data element, including the impact on patient safety and care, when performing EMPI delegated tasks.

How you can make a difference

  • Analyzes and performs patient medical record merges, unmerges, overlays and all other required data corrections in the appropriate database system.
  • Proactively and independently solves problems and operates with a high level of accuracy.
  • Exhibits excellence in mitigating patient safety risk associated with the transfer of patient information.
  • Ensures all parties involved in making corrections in any disparate systems are promptly notified to ensure all corrections are executed in a timely manner.

Experience to drive change

  • Minimum Associates Degree preferred.
  • RHIA or RHIT certification preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years Medical Records experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
