Job Description

EMPLOYER: Village Practice Management Company, LLC DBA VillageMD

JOB POSITION: Senior Actuarial Analyst

LOCATION: 1 Diamond Hill Road, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922

PAY RANGE: $194,314 - $215,000 per year

DUTIES: Build actuarial models to help identify areas to improve utilization of healthcare. Work with market and finance leaders to understand the results of actuarial analysis and how they can drive improved performance. Apply experience with health analytics, end-to-end support, and development of Commercial and Medicare value-based provider risk contracts to reduce cost and incentivize high quality. Present data-driven insights to internal and external leadership to identify improvement opportunities, assist in implementation and provide ongoing support. Collaborate with technology, analytics, and operational leaders to define project completion milestones and work to achieve those goals. Build robust analytical tools, dashboards, and exhibits to summarize results for technical and non-technical audiences. Apply experience working on Medicare Advantage Products and knowledge of the CMS HCC Risk Adjustment Program and the impact on Medicare Advantage Plan performance. Tools and technologies used: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL Server, Snowflake, Python, R, VBA, SAS, Tableau, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Generative AI (ChatGPT). Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as an Actuary or Actuarial Analyst including at least two (2) years of experience providing data and performing calculations related to value-based contract settlements, opportunity reporting, and financial models/projections and using SQL, Tableau, Python, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). The position also requires at least six (6) months of experience working with Medicare Advantage, trend forecasting for healthcare, developing tools to automate actuarial calculations, and creating visualizations of data to provide insights into evaluation of risk management programs. The position also requires at least three (3) actuarial exams passed. Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

For Colorado Residents only: This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $194,314 - $215,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
