The Embedded Systems Security Governance role will be responsible for the overall security governance for Lexmark's firmware organization. This includes monitoring the organizations compliance with Lexmark's Secure Software Development Lifecycle, managing the vulnerability response process for Embedded Systems, managing on-going developer training compliance, participation in various CFTs on evolving security and privacy compliance requirements globally, and interfacing with the other security subject matter experts within Connected Technologies.

Successful candidates will posses strong process development experience, broad technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and experience working within security governance and compliance frameworks.

Lexmark’s Embedded Security Team is a collaborative development team that is responsible for developing security solutions for both monochrome & color laser printer products.

The primary responsibilities of the system engineer will be to work with the security architect, FW developers & other engineering teams to deliver secure systems utilizing custom security ASICs that reside on Lexmark products.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Develop & maintain product requirements & schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to implement secure solutions for both printer development & manufacturing activities.
  • Active participant in product leadership meetings
  • System Product Owner following Agile principles
  • Communicate with firmware developers function requirements for each product release

  • Gaining an understanding on how to further strengthen devices through both HW & FW system resources to reduce vulnerabilities.
