Job Description

Position purpose:

The Sr. Global Cost Optimization Analyst is responsible for giving support to the budget and forecasting process for multiple Programs (Serialization + readiness, SC Digitization, Plant of the Future & Double Wall Block), monthly tracking of the costs and savings by building tools to report the deviations and performance versus expectations and identify opportunities, NHS Equipment Capex and CHEP Tech projects control at a global level. The role is also responsible for working collaboratively with the different Project leaders and for giving support to the related Business Cases development

Key accountabilities:

Budget preparation & control

  • Support in the preparation of annual budget processes
  • Monthly identification of any deviation from budget and involvement in the recognition of actions to close the gaps
  • Create full visibility and insight in what is driving the costs and savings

Forecast review

  • Support in the quarterly forecast process reviews with SC Finance and the Project leaders
  • Identify areas needed for improvement and liaise with the stakeholders to close off any gaps vs budget/target

KPIs reporting

  • Guarantee a timely and qualitative reporting on the savings, capex, costs and opex
  • Alignment with Global SC Finance to ensure that reporting is accurate
  • Track and report actual cost of each program for benchmarking between projects and regions
  • Standardization of processes and cost structures at Global Level

Business Cases

  • Drive cost improvement projects
  • Give support to the Projects leaders in building initiatives Business Cases and guide them through the approval process
  • Support Stakeholders analysis & data provision as required

NHS Capex control

  • Accurate control of the actual costs and deviations of the NHS Capex spend from the different regions and globally
  • Communication of results and deviations to senior management

CHEP Tech Budget control

  • Accurate reporting of the spend from the different projects at a global level, including overheads

Skills & Knowledge

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial controllership
  • Supply chain experience is desirab
  • Distinctive numerical reasoning and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Budgeting and CAPEX processes
  • Excellent MS-Office Package skills
  • SAP knowledge
  • Target-oriented and self-dependent working style
  • Collaboration across functional and geographic areas
  • Driving for results in multi-site & multi-lingual teams
  • Strategic & critical thinker
