About the Company:

A US-based software company dedicated to enhancing the online presence of merchants in the Shopify ecosystem.

Role Overview:

We are currently looking for a detail oriented Implementation Specialist with a strong background in content management systems to help deliver our e-commerce storefronts. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in content management systems to manage and optimize Shopify stores. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each merchant’s content model accurately reflects their data structure. You will also enter the data provided by the merchant into their Shopify store, ensuring both accuracy and completeness.

Your efforts will directly contribute to the enhancement of online merchant presence, driving customer engagement, and optimizing user experiences across multiple Shopify stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shopify theme setup and customization: Customize Shopify themes to meet our merchants’ unique branding and design requirements. This includes modifying text, images, fonts, colors, and other visual elements to create visually appealing and on-brand online stores.
  2. Content modeling: Create metafields and metaobjects to support the merchant’s Figma designs, e.g. a product metafield for a size guide. Ensure that each merchant’s content model accurately reflects their data structure.
  3. Data entry: Enter the data provided by the merchant into their Shopify store, ensuring both accuracy and completeness.
  4. Effective team communication: Clearly communicate any discrepancies found during store set-up with the delivery team, highlighting any areas of improvement while ensuring efficient delivery of storefronts.
  5. Quality assurance: Conduct thorough testing of Shopify stores to identify and resolve any issues related to functionality, performance, or user experience. Ability to compare designs to the merchandised stores and fix any differences.
  6. Product presentation: Optimize product pages to effectively showcase products information, images and user flow.
  7. Navigation and filtering: Implement intuitive navigation menus and product filters that match the store designs. Organize products into categories and subcategories to facilitate easy navigation and product discovery.
  8. Mobile responsiveness: Ensure that all Shopify stores are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. Test websites across various screen sizes and devices to ensure a seamless user experience on desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in Shopify theme customization and ecommerce merchandising, preferably in an agency setting.
  2. Proven experience in content management systems and content modeling.
  3. Intermediate proficiency in CSS is an advantage.
  4. Knowledge and experience with Figma and working from Figma designs
  5. Strong understanding of ecommerce principles, UX/UI design principles, and best practices.
  6. Excellent design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
  7. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, with experience working remotely.
  8. Experience with project management tools and workflows is a plus.
  9. Proven ability to analyze data and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Our Recruitment Process:

1. Application

You will submit your initial requirements (personal information, resume, etc.) through our job portal, where we'll collect key information about your work experience, skills, and qualifications.

2. Pre-Screening

If you're shortlisted, you'll complete a pre-screening by recording your responses to a few questions via audio or video. We'll use this to get a sense of your motivation, energy, and overall fit for the role.

3. Top-Grading Interview

Next, you will participate in a Top-Grading Interview with one of our recruiters. Well dive into your past experiences, strengths, challenges, and work history to understand how you might perform in future roles. Additionally, we will ask you to submit a short video recording, following our provided guidelines, which will be shared with the client as part of your endorsement.

4. Skills Assessment

After the interview, you will complete a skills assessment, which could involve practical tasks, technical tests, or situational exercises to show how you would handle scenarios related to the job.

5. Client Interview

If you pass the skills assessment, you'll have a final interview with the hiring client. This is where you'll discuss the roles responsibilities, expectations, and how you would fit into their team.

6. Job Offer

If selected, you will receive a formal job offer that includes all the details, such as salary, benefits, and your start date

7. Onboarding

Once you accept the offer, you'll begin our onboarding process, which includes training and orientation to get you fully prepared for your new role.
