Job Summary

  • The Custom Design & Engineering Tools Leader is a key role bridging the gap between the digital
  • team/programmers and the Application Engineering & Bid Management (AE&BM) team in the
  • Microelectronics group. This position will support AE&BM by developing and improving processes,
  • systems, tools, and end-product-work to respond to customer needs. The SEL will drive impact by
  • automating engineering design and proposal generation, enhancing productivity, consistency, and
  • responsiveness of the sales/AE teams, ultimately increasing sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Digital Innovation & Product Development: Spearhead the creation and enhancement of digital tools, aligning product vision with market needs and industry trends. Leverage expertise in water and wastewater processes to guide technical aspects of product development.
  • Cross-functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead diverse teams, bridging the gap between software development, design, and water treatment expertise. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration and continuous improvement in product offerings and sales processes.
  • Project Management & Process Optimization: Oversee project timelines and coordinate activities across departments. Focus on automating proposal generation and streamlining sales efforts to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement product roadmaps that align with business objectives. Utilize market research and customer feedback to inform decision-making and prioritize features that drive value for the organization and its clients.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of membrane technologies (UF, RO, EDI, MBR) and general water/wastewater treatment processes.
  • Experience with design processes related to ultrapure water (UPW), point of use (POU) treatment and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Requirements

Education & Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with 10+ years of experience in both Product Management and Application Engineering within the water treatment industry.
  • Proven track record (10+ years) in leading digital enablement initiatives for sales and applications teams, including proposal automation.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Chemical or Environmental engineering
  • Master’s degree in Business (MBA)
  • Multiple digital/software project experience including membrane modeling
  • Exposure/familiarity with REST API’s (JSON)
  • Note: the role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
