AECOM is seeking a Strategic Pricing Director to be based in Houston, TX (or any other AECOM office locations) with the primary responsibility to assist with strategic pricing reviews of critical pursuits.

This position covers all business lines and geographies. We are seeking an individual who has an understanding of market conditions and strong estimating skills. The selected candidate will work with senior roles across the Americas organization. The ideal candidate understands business fundamentals that include business development, client leadership, P&L, project delivery, and can convey innovative solutions.

The responsibilities of this commercial director (strategic pricing) position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and Execute Pricing Strategies: Formulate and implement strategic pricing models across all business lines to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining competitive positioning in the market.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand. Use this data to inform pricing decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Finance teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business objectives.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and pricing tools to continuously refine and optimize pricing structures. Monitor the effectiveness of pricing strategies and adjust as necessary to respond to market conditions. Partner with marketing to track historical win/loss details.
  • Regularly report on pricing strategy performance to senior leadership and other key stakeholders. Provide recommendations for adjustments based on data-driven insights.
  • Establish and enforce pricing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent application of pricing strategies across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with pricing strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership.
  • Background working in engineering consulting for min of 5 years.
  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills;
  • Excellent excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business degree, or similar, preferred
