We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build and maintain the frontend and backend for our AI/ML applications in the Edge Platform team. The platform will enable the development and deployment of machine learning models for the Edge, supporting the entire AI lifecycle, from edge-to-cloud data acquisition and ingestion to model training, deployment, and monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have experience with microservice-based architectures, web and frontend frameworks, and cloud-native applications.

Location:Hyrid, Limerick, Cork or Dublin

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust backend services and frontend clients for our AI/ML applications
  • Own the software lifecycle of one or more software product and platform subsystems
  • Design, implement, and maintain well-abstracted and documented REST APIs
  • Collaborate with ML/MLOps Engineers to integrate AI/ML models with software applications
  • Work closely with DevOps team to improve system availability, scalability, and reliability
  • Guarantee product and code quality utilizing software development best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, etc.
  • Actively participate in product design and help define the technical roadmap for our products
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in web and data technologies and frameworks

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed web applications and services
  • Experience with microservices architectures and REST API development (e.g., FastAPI)
  • Experience with front-end libraries and frameworks such as React and Next.js
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
