The role

To Manage the delivery of a suit of Property Essential Policies and Procedures. You will ensure all Property Essential policies and procedures that are required are in place for all UK Functions, including the commitment, development, approval, implementation, publish, updates and annual attestations for each BU.

This role will support with preparation and updating of Property Essential policies and procedures across the Market Unit, as required. Working closely with BU Sustainability, Compliance and Property Managers to develop and update a suit of SOP and Policy documents.

You’ll help us make health happen by

  • Provide support to BGIUK Property Risk Manager with Enterprise Policy Updates.
  • Applying specialist knowledge in evaluating existing policies.
  • Determining if policies are aligned with stated goals and Bupa objectives.
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inclusion of relevant factors.
  • Identifying benefits, disadvantages, and omissions in existing policy frameworks.
  • Ensuring that policies and policy amendments meet legal requirements.
  • Reporting on findings and proposing new policies or amendments to existing policies.
  • Drafting new policies or amendments to policies and submitting proposals for review.
  • Editing and finalizing new policies or amendments as required.
  • Documenting processes seeking inputs from and disseminating information to various internal and external stakeholders, subject to requirement.
  • Consider and recommend change management required to manage stakeholders within Policy and Procedural revision.
  • Keen focus and attention to detail.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role

  • Extensive experience in determining if policies align with objectives.
  • Exceptional ability to determine policy oversights and omissions.
  • Advanced ability to recommend new policies or amendments and prepare draft versions.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal considerations relevant to policies.
  • Advanced knowledge of conventions and standards in policy writing.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing reports and presenting findings.
  • Excellent recordkeeping and communication skills
  • H&S and Facilities Management desired, but not essential
  • A graduate degree or similar experience in the field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in analysing policies
