**Job Description Summary

The Power Train Dynamics and Diagnostics team (PTDD) is a global team responsible for vibration aspects of the entire scope of GE Gas Power rotating equipment product line, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators, and interfacing systems. With a commitment to a complete product lifecycle, PTDD drives a successful integration of rotating and stationary components in a power train shaft-line (NPI, ITO, OTR) together with a technical leadership to support data driven and physics-based resolution of vibration field issues (RCA, ER, NCR). In this role you will be responsible for driving technical excellence throughout our global team, through ensuring rigor and accuracy in the team’s efforts of troubleshooting and providing corrective action solutions for issues associated with rotating component & structural vibration as well as operability & process issues.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities
This role is critical in driving customer experience and GE Vernova objectives through:
• Providing technology leadership globally for vibration & diagnostics issues (gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and accessories equipment)
• Ensuring a rigorous alignment between new product design practices and fleet lessons learned
• Continuous improvement in critical workstreams (RCA, ER) to provide comprehensive technical resolution to ensure a global standard
• Ensuring consistency in tourbleshooting techniques (tools & methods)
• Working with PTDD leadership team to identify focused business needs for future technical development and create individualized technical development training plans
• Mentoring and developing less experienced PTDD team members, aligned with each individual’s TDA training plan
• Reviewing and facilitating internal and external communications (TILS, ETC, customer presentations, etc.) to provide guidance on major issue resolution
• Organizing, leading and participating in user conferences, including team resources & technical content
• Implementing Lean principles in Customer Technical Communication documentation to ensure safe/reliable operation of equipment, coordinating across regions and product lines as necessary
• Driving actions to encourage growth, technical development of team to unlock our collective potential
• Leading and promoting a culture of GE Beliefs, Lean principles and Simplification into day-to-day activities
• Traveling as necessary including for customer meetings, conferences, team development and critical customer on-site support

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
• Significant experience in vibration & diagnostics engineering, field engineering, design engineering, systems engineering, and/or installation & commissioning
• Minimum of 10 years in energy industry
• Proven ability to interact and work effectively with all levels within the organization with excellent communication skills for technical issues and solutions

Desired Characteristics
• A minimum of 10 years of associated with gas turbine, steam turbine or generator engineering, load gearbox, pumps/motors troubleshooting
• Experience w/ vibration data collection; DAQ systems (preferably ADRE 408), instrumentation, and other equipment and testing often completed to support rotating component and structural vibration diagnostics (impact tests, thermal growth studies, etc.)
• Prior experience in a customer support/facing role; strong commercial mindset. Anticipates customer needs and ensures that they are met
• Communicates the business vision effectively in an open and consistent manner
• Restless dissatisfaction with “the way things are done” … focused on continuous improvement
• Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning
• One Team mentality, leading horizontally to support our customers despite internal hurdles
• Six Sigma DMAIC, TOPS 8D, or other Root Cause techniques
• LEAN knowledge

The base pay range for this position is 127,900.00 - 213,100.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% bonus.
