Position Summary

We are recruiting for an innovative thinker who takes creative approaches to problem solving to join our Data Management Team. The Data Management Analyst will be an integral part of our team who will support UHN in managing Master Data Objects in SAP and Ariba. Master data objects include and are not limited to supply chain and finance modules.

As a Data Management Analyst in the Data Management Department within our Procurement and Supply Chain Portfolio, you will perform a broad range of administrative and technical activities requiring professional knowledge of SAP and Ariba. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with routine data/information collection, cleansing, and input into the systems, ensuring that complete and accurate data is collected, performing data analysis, and maintaining quality data standards in our systems.

Duties:

  • Ensure data accuracy, enhance trust in data, and safeguard information assets
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance
  • Perform data cleansing activities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve data quality in SAP and Ariba systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement data automation tools where possible
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and resolve data quality problems through effective error detection, correction, and process control
  • Collaborate with UHN Data Governance experts, the Digital IT Team, and the Data Management Team to identify and meet data requirements.
  • Operate across Finance and Supply Chain, working with subject matter experts to address data quality concerns
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports and assist in preparing presentation materials
  • Participate in discussions with business partners to identify, understand, and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Write, maintain, and update process guides and data management documentation
  • Represent the Data Management Team in working with stakeholders across Supply Chain and Finance to create and refine process documentation, streamlining joint data management processes

Requirements

  • College Diploma or Undergraduate Degree with a focus on data management, business, computer science, supply chain, finance, data science or a resume with extensive practical experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Data Analyst/Data Quality Analyst type role and/or master data experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or Ariba is an asset
  • Direct experience working on data quality, enterprise data and data analytic quality management initiatives
  • Experience in carrying out data audits and requirement gathering
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products with an emphasis in Excel
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage unexpected occurrences, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
