Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the bridge between the Business and Tech on the ideation, prioritisation, development, and delivery of core features in our platform.
  • Actively contribute to the overall product strategy, representing the requirements of our Foundations squad
  • Nurture and manage the product backlog in all areas related to banking partner integrations, cross-border payments, FX, and enterprise-level SaaS.
  • Drive the creation and release of high-level requirements, epics, and user stories that deliver demonstrable value and business impact

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have 2+ years in a Product Owner role with a sound understanding of the technical aspects of a FinTech product in the context of global payouts and alternative payment methods
  • Can demonstrate a sound understanding of payment and FX operations, accounting and reconciliation concepts, and experience in financial business processes
  • Have a track record of leading the discovery and development of market-leading value propositions that drive growth for financial products
  • Demonstrate understanding of enterprise-grade B2B software requirements and can systematically break down and solve complex problems
  • Have experience with integrations with external banking partners
  • Can give examples of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams and working effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get things done
  • Have extensive experience of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of managing engineering backlogs and sprint planning.
  • Are able to motivate, energise and inspire people toward a common goal
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart or similar diagramming/collaboration / prototyping tools

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • A general familiarity with Git Hub and build pipelines for microservices-based platforms.
  • A solid understanding of JSON data formats.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, with some understanding of how endpoints are used to exchange data and how to read and appraise API documentation as required.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed product documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria that bridge business needs with technical implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar, to ensure proper functionality and performance of API integrations.
